FPJ, IS AN "OPEN BOOK" February 5, 2004 Senatorial candidate Boots Anson-Roa said yesterday the spontaneous admission by presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr. of the Koalition ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP) that he has a love child by former actress Ana Marin makes him an "open book" with nothing to hide. "FPJ is totally transparent and is prepared to answer every brickbat his detractors will throw at him because he so absolutely honest," said Anson-Roa, who is running for the Senate under the KNP ticket led by Poe and his running mate Loren Legarda. She Added: "That Ronnie has a love child is no secret in the local movie world and neither has it become controversial because he has shown responsibility and utmost concern for the future of his son." FPS' s son by Ana Marin, called Ronian, is finishing college in an exclusive university. " A wrong he has righted; a responsibility he has faced squarely" Anson-Roa, a multi-awarded actress who had co-starred with Fernando Poe Jr. in many movies, said of Poe, popularly acknowledged as the "king" of the local movies.. Anson-Roa said unlike many politicians , FPJ is truthful, adding that he should be envied and emulated for not hiding anything about himself to the people. She remarked that in admitting that he has love child,. Poe has proven that he has never any intention at all to lie to the Filipino people. "he has been completely loyal to his wife, Susan Roces," said Anson-Roa, a one-time "Ten Outstanding Women in the Nation's Service" (TOWN) awardee Anson-Roa said Poe knows that politics is very dirty but he decided to enter it despite the attendant mudslinging and character assassination because he knows that he is clean and honest. "Nothing can stop the amazing momentum in Ronnie's presidential bid. His tremendous pulling power will carry the entire KNP ticket to victory," Anson-Roa said.
